About Sugar & Slate
Sugar & Slate started in 2021 as lockdown brownies for neighbours in Canton and turned into a registered home bakery the following spring. The name is the two things on my kitchen worktop: sugar, and the slate boards the cakes are photographed on.
I bake everything myself, to order, in small batches. My kitchen is registered with Cardiff Council and inspected — the hygiene rating is 5 — and every product comes with a full allergen list.
Regular boxes go out across Cardiff and Penarth on Fridays and Saturdays; letterbox brownies are posted UK-wide; celebration cakes are delivered by hand.
